Hello, I'm Norman Quijano, you can call me Noerks for short. I'm a Philippines-based artist who has been passionate about web designing and graphic creation for more than 10 years now. My specialties range from web designing, logo and t-shirt designing, and wallpaper designing, to sketching, lettering, drawing, and audio and picture editing.
I was 8 years old when I discovered I have a thing for visual arts, designing to be exact. My late uncle, who was an artist, was the person who inspired me the most. He was really good at sketching, lettering, drawing, and even in engraving and wood sculpting. I started mimicking his sketches and masterpieces, and that was how I honed my craft. When I entered high school, I used my skills to earn extra money by drawing my schoolmates' projects. More opportunities then followed. I was given the chance to work as an artist - doing billboard letterings and signboards for restaurants, schools and boutiques. Then in college, I volunteered to be the assistant of our school artist. I cut out letters and painted our school's tarpaulins.
My first professional job was at Travelmart Network Group Inc., where I spent 2 years as a web and graphic designer. Currently, I'm under a top telecommunications company, designing web pages, infographics, newsletters, print ads and other marketing materials. Armed with a creative mind and my design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Illustrator, Flash, XARA 3D, Balsamiq, TopStyle, Notepad++, MS Office, and Audacity, I can make the most unique and edgy graphics, and the cleanest, easy to navigate web pages that can turn visitors to potential clients.
